The shit has been hitting the fan lately. Often and hard. The European Union is on the verge of complete disintegration as a new financial crisis combined with bogged down polarized politics has every country fighting for it´s own interests. NATO cannot either be relied upon anymore, especially after North Korea tried to nuke the western US shore and the ensuing war has had all of US warfighting capable units reallocated to the Pacific and South East Asia.

Stuck in this mess is Finland. Finding itself once again, alone and unable to influence any of the events unfolding around it. Ties to the East are strained to say the least. China is on the verge of entering the war in Korea, and has in an unprecedented move, allied with Russia. The crisis in Kaliningrad in -19 already almost sparked WW3 and Russia has slowly lost all its influence in the Baltic sea since then. At this point Finland's political ties are almost completely cut in all directions and the last rumors are that a Russo-Chinese -exercise is to be held at the southern eastern border of Finland.

August 2020

A Russo - Chinese “shock and awe” -assault has pretty much knocked out most of Finlands southern defences and a complete land invasion of the Uusimaa -area is imminent. In a last ditch effort Finland sends out a request for help to any alliances it has forged over the years. No replies are received……...except for the UK and the Joint Expeditionary Force.
